![]() ![]() You have to really focus on squeezing as much value out of every villager as possible by having them all constantly employed, while using your money to invest further into yourself to make more money, and ultimately end up with a group of Warriors that are powerful from upgraded Training Camps. The biggest thing about Ox is about emphasizing quality over quantity. ![]() Having a tile with nothing but Houses (relatively cheap upkeep costs) and an unupgraded Training Camp while having other tiles filled to the brim with production and upgraded (upgraded buildings have increased upkeep! So aim to have any upgraded Training Camp on a "production" tile that can spare the room) buildings means you can really maximize the benefits of spending 50 kröwns each time. Especially if you build around this Lore early in the game. All of these effects are subtle, but super important. Not only do you flat out increase production to make your assigned villagers more efficient (taking our 336% up to nearly 370%), but you get additional building space, reduced upkeep costs, and can do it at half price. Might be a bit too slow, but powerful if you can pull it off. If you can use the 45 "default" Stone from Baldr's Blessing for your Town Hall, Scout Camp, and then Food/Kröwn buildings - the 35 Stone from the second deposit can upgrade an even 5 Training Camps due to the cost reduction from Military Training. Using that Villager to mine a 2nd Stone deposit is also a pretty big boon imo if you can swing for it. You essentially get a free villager here. That nearly matches the 360% production rate normal clans get without any extra bonuses. So we go from 140% per villager to 168%, and double that for the additional villager assigned for a 336% increase to base production. If we upgrade a Farm, we can assign another villager as well as add a 20% boost. This is especially important when it comes to mining, since there's no way for the Ox to mine a deposit at the same speed as normal clans BUT we're able to assign a villager must earlier and keep mining much longer without hurting our other productions nearly as much. The Kraken clan has 4 villagers chopping wood for 400%, the Ox have 3 villagers chopping at 420%. Now this is the interesting part - while the Ox need to build more buildings in general, they make up for it by having more villagers around. The Ox clan will need to build 3 Woodcutter's in order to achieve similar results, as 140% * 3 would be 420% (there's a blaze it joke with firewood somewhere here). In my experience, having 2 pairs of Woodcutters is generally needed by most clans that want to explode their expansion - or 400% of a basic Woodcutter's production. So while normal clans will have 2 Woodcutters at 200% efficiency, the Ox clan will have 1 Woodcutter at 140% efficiency. An Ox villager is worth 140% of a normal villager-job (standard villagers get no bonuses), but you can only have 1 villager assigned to buildings. One thing that's odd about the Ox is that you need to rethink the basics of the production per villager curve. Go to City Builder and then make your way down the Military Lore line.
